The Power of a Good Song!

I was cleaning my room this afternoon (FINALLY!) when Taylor bumped my ipod and the first song on my running playlist came up, "I Gotta Feelin'" by the Black Eyed Peas. This was the song that I always started to during the training runs and for the half marathon I did in May. I switched all the other songs around every few runs, but I always started with the same tune.

As soon as it came up I perked up, I could feel my heart start beating and I was excited. Now I'll have you know, this is NOT the normal reaction I have when doing said cleaning, in fact it is normally quite the opposite.

Instead of dragging through my work, it flew by as memories of runs flooded through my mind. (Running must be like childbirth, I only remembered all the great highs!)

What's your song, you know the one ... when it comes on, you just can't sit still?

  1. Could you recommend a few more great workout songs? One of my 101 goals in 1001 days is to run a mile. I have NEVER run in my life. I have always hated it. However I am determined to change my mind. :o) Thanks!

And you can totally do it, I was just like you. If you put your mind to it, you can do ANYthing.
